99T Magnesium Bellhousing Kits with Sport 5.5 Clutch are designed to provide the weight saving of a magnesium bellhousing with the lower cost of Tilton’s 8-leg Sport 5.5 clutch.

The lightweight and rigid magnesium bellhousing provides maximum ground clearance and features an easy access side-bolt mounting system for the starter.  Unlike other bellhousings on the market, the transmission no longer has to be removed in order to service the starter.  The value-packed Sport 5.5 clutch and small diameter 99-tooth cover-mount ring gear provides low inertia and maximum reliability.

  • Magnesium rear-mount starter bellhousing designed for maximum weight savings
  • Compact design provides increase ground clearance and exhaust header clearance. Distance from the centerline of the crankshaft to the bottom of the bellhousing is only 4.5”
  • Integral mounting ears for use as rear engine mount
  • Accepts transmissions with Chevy 4-bolt mounting pattern
    and 4.68” register diameter
  • Blueprinted for parallelism and concentricity
  • Weighs 7.6 lbs

  • Sport 5.5 metallic clutch. 2-disc and 3-disc options
  • Billet steel 99-tooth (8.42”) ring gear
  • Button Flywheel
  • 26-Spline clutch disc pack
  • Aircraft-grade clutch bolts
  • High-strength ARP flywheel bolts

Hydraulic Release Bearing

Super Starter

  • 40000-Series 3.0 HP high-torque gear reduction mini starter
  • Side-bolt mounting design provides secure mounting to bellhousing and easy access for service
